FLAMES and the love calculator are classic just-for-fun games — write two names, do a little counting, and get a “result”. Generations of students have played FLAMES in the back of a notebook. Here’s how both work, and how to get your result (and a shareable card) instantly.
Type your name and your crush’s or friend’s name.
A fun love percentage appears with a heart meter.
The game reveals your relationship — Friends, Love, Affection, Marriage, Enemy or Siblings.
Save the colourful result card and share it with friends.
How the FLAMES game works
FLAMES stands for Friends, Love, Affection, Marriage, Enemy, Siblings. You write both names, cross out the letters they share (one for one), and count the letters left over. Then you go around the word F-L-A-M-E-S counting that number again and again, striking out one letter each time, until a single letter remains — and that letter is your result. This tool does all the counting for you instantly.
How the love calculator works
A love calculator turns two names into a percentage for fun. Ours works the result out from the letters of the two names, so the same pair always gets the same number — just like the paper version. It’s entertainment, not science: a low score just means a funnier screenshot to share!
Tip: Try it with celebrity couples, your friends, or movie characters — the consistent results make for great group-chat screenshots.
